What is a cancellation insurance?

For many events the possibility of adding a cancellation insurance to your ticket is offered. With a cancellation insurance you have the possibility to ask a refund for your tickets in case of: serious illness, severe accident-related injury or death of an insured party or of a relative by blood and/or affinity in the first or second degree; complications during pregnancy; severe damage to property; irretrievable breakdown of the insured party’s marriage; theft, embezzlement or loss of, or total loss damage to, the vehicle to be used for the trip to the event.
